β Auto Finish Work by Rose β How the Idea Would Work
A careful, limited follow-up should help finish missing work without repeating what is already done.
π The planned approach
- Start with the original request. Identify the deliverables and steps the user actually asked for.
- Review the final response and available artifacts. Compare what was requested with what is visibly present; do not assume an unshown item is missing if evidence may still be arriving.
- Check for pending or gated work. A streaming response, pending tool, attachment, human approval, permission, or spending decision is not automatically a failure. Wait or stop rather than retrying around a gate.
- Identify only a clear omission. Examples might include a requested text deliverable that is absent, an unfulfilled step, or a completion statement without supporting evidence. Uncertain findings should be treated as uncertain.
- Ask narrowly for what remains. The proposed follow-up would name the missing item and preserve completed work, instead of restarting the whole request.
- Stop safely. Duplicate prevention, bounded retries, and stop conditions are part of the proposal; repeated or gated actions should not be pursued automatically.
β¨ Example
Request: βWrite a ten-word story and create an illustration.β
Possible check: If the response appears to contain an illustration but no story text, first make sure the response is complete and inspect available output. If the story is still clearly absent, a proposed concise follow-up would ask only for the ten-word story, leaving the illustration alone.
π Keep the boundaries clear
- Do not treat an image-only response as incomplete when the request was image-only.
- Do not treat pending tools, streaming, attachments, or genuinely gated actions as omissions.
- Do not claim completion is verified unless the response or available artifacts support that claim.
- Never bypass safety, permissions, human approval, or spending gates.
- Any eventual tone, per-chat, preview/history, retry, or integration controls remain plannedβnot current interface instructions.
