Development setup notes

Development-only setup from the project guide: use the project-provided Python environment, set ROSE_GMAIL_OAUTH_CLIENT_ID to an owner-approved OAuth public-client ID, run python run_local.py, then open http://127.0.0.1:8766/ on the same computer. Keep it bound to loopback. No approved client ID or customer package is provided here.

What the project brief documents

The candidate guide describes Gmail browse/search and message actions, draft creation/editing, and a confirmed Send now route after an extra confirmation step. gmail.compose is send-capable. Because the in-app privacy notice is inconsistent with this route, do not connect a real mailbox or send from this unreleased candidate. Timers are user-triggered, not background polling.
